Support with post-school meltdowns

“I reached out to Sam for some support with what may be causing my son’s meltdowns after school. We were always being told that he was an angel at school and showed no signs of being frustrated, only for him to explode when he walked through the door.

She took the time to ask about him and the time we spend together along with explaining some of the things his teachers would be doing in the class room to monitor him. She also helped me with what questions I should be asking his teacher and how to ask them to get the information I needed. I learned this is called Afterschool Restraint Collapse, and it is an actual thing that happens and it’s not just us!”

Preparing for Primary School Readiness

“School Roots helped me to get a good understanding of what would be expected of my child when she started Primary School. We spoke about the areas in which she would be assessed and how to identify and work on areas for improvement. Sam also did a very good job of calming me down and reassuring me that we didn’t have to get everything perfect before day one. Thank you.”
